We kept noticing the same things about safety training: it's boring, hard to access, full of technical jargon, buried in too many steps, and padded with information nobody needs.

Jon wanted to take what he learned running Assure Occupational Testing and turn it into training safety-sensitive industries would love. His ask: "Make it pain-free for my guys to learn what's critical, get certified, and get back to work."

Boe wanted to build a course and an experience that beats the boredom of the safety training out there today. Serious — but also simple, engaging and efficient, so workers get certified and employers stay compliant without the headache.

Jon started Assure in 2009 to help safety-sensitive employers keep their crews safe. From a single team in Lloydminster, Assure has grown into a national testing network supporting safety sensitive industries — drug and alcohol testing, hearing and mask fit testing, policy development, return-to-duty support and supervisor training.

He is also a certified DOT drug and alcohol collector, audiometric and spirometry technician, respirator fit tester and DER compliance train-the-trainer.
