Who we are

CheckPassDone Training ("CheckPassDone", "we", "us") provides online workplace safety training at checkpassdone.com to learners and employers in Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and equivalent provincial privacy laws.

Information we collect

  • Account and contact details: name, work email address, and the company or organization you train with.
  • Training records: courses you start, progress through modules, assessment results, completion dates and the certificate issued to you.
  • Purchase records: the courses or seats bought, amounts, and invoice details. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on our systems.
  • Technical information: device, browser and usage data collected to keep the platform secure and working correctly.

How we use it

We use your information to give you access to purchased training, track progress, issue and verify certificates, process payments, provide support, and send service messages about your training. We send marketing email only where you have opted in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Sharing with employers and service providers

If an employer buys training on your behalf, that employer can see the courses assigned to you, your completion status, completion date and certificate. They do not receive your assessment answers beyond the pass or completion outcome. We also use service providers — hosting, email delivery and payment processing — who may process information on our behalf under contract and only for the services they provide to us. We do not sell personal information.

Storage and retention

Information may be stored or processed on servers located in Canada or the United States and is therefore subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We keep training and completion records for as long as needed to verify certificates and meet employer recordkeeping expectations, and account and billing records for as long as required by law. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information.

Your choices

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent to optional communications, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
